The outstanding entry from the IChemE Global Awards across all categories will be presented with the Outstanding Achievement in Chemical and Process Engineering Award 2024. This award cannot be entered, it will be decided by our judging panel.
Best Consultancy Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the individual, organisation or group that best demonstrates the provision of outstanding consultancy services within the chemical engineering community.
Biopharma Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best project, process or product to demonstrate excellence in the application of biochemical and/or pharmaceutical engineering.
Business Start-up Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the organisation, formed in the last five years, to best demonstrate its contribution to the chemical and process industries. Entries should demonstrate evidence of business potential and preferably performance.
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the organisation or group that best demonstrates a commitment to promoting or improving equality, diversity and inclusion within its workforce, sector or business practices.
Industry Project Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best chemical engineering project, undertaken in the last four years*, to be implemented in industry. This includes, but is not limited to, construction of new plant and the adaptation of existing facilities. *project started no earlier than 1 January 2020.
Innovative Process Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best process innovation originating from the chemical and process industries to be implemented commercially in the last four years*. *implemented since 1 January 2020
Innovative Product Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best product originating from the chemical and process industries to be manufactured commercially in the last four years*. *manufactured commercially since 1 January 2020
Oil and Gas Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best project, process or product to demonstrate chemical engineering excellence in the oil and gas sector.
Process Automation and Digitalisation Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best project, process or product to demonstrate excellence in the application of process automation and/or digitalisation within the chemical and process industries.
Process Safety Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the project, process or product to best demonstrate excellence in process safety.
Renewable Energy Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best project, process or product that demonstrates excellence in the development and use of renewable energy generation and storage in the chemical and process industries.
Research Project Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best chemical engineering research project, undertaken in the last four years*. Entries should demonstrate potential or actual application in industry and are welcomed from industry, academia and collaborative working groups. *project started no earlier than 1 January 2020.
Sustainability Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the project, process or product demonstrating an excellence in sourcing and consuming materials, reducing waste, and/or optimising the product life cycles.
Training and Development Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the organisation that best demonstrates excellence in training and development of staff or education of a wider community. Entries should demonstrate how a skills/knowledge gap has been addressed, how a training programme has had a positive impact on business performance and/or how public perception of chemical engineering has been improved.
Water Award
For organisations, partnerships and teams
Recognises the best project, process or product to demonstrate chemical engineering excellence in the water sector.
Young Researcher Award
For individuals
Recognises the chemical engineer who best demonstrates the impact of their chemical engineering research to address important technical, economic, environmental or social issues. All entrants must have been born on or after 1 January 1994.
