Sellafield Ltd is the company responsible for the safe and secure management of the operational and legacy nuclear facilities at Sellafield in West Cumbria. This is undertaken on behalf of the UK’s Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). This includes the decommissioning of the UK’s nuclear legacy, fuel recycling and the management of low, high and intermediate level nuclear waste activities.

NDA’s vision is for Sellafield Ltd to become the site and workforce of choice for potential new missions.

The future for Sellafield Ltd is ever more challenging as retrievals from the most hazardous facilities commence whilst reprocessing operations are concluding and building the next generation of nuclear facilities.
