Recognising new and emerging talent is hugely important. The IChemE Young Engineers Awards for Innovation and Sustainability (YEAIS) celebrates the ideas and innovation emerging in the chemical engineering profession, as well as those innovative ideas being shared by young people who could become our future chemical engineers, supporting IChemE’s vision of engineering a more sustainable world. Finalists will be invited to attend an Awards ceremony at the Royal Society, London, UK on 16 June 2025. Malaysia and Australasia events will take place online.

Following a successful pilot in 2024, the awards are now open to:

• UK: IChemE members aged 18 to 30 as well as UK school students aged 16 to 18
• Australasia: IChemE members aged 18 to 30
• Malaysia: IChemE members aged 18 to 30.

Please note that Malaysia and Australasia regions will be running their own parallel events.
