Hong is an executive MBA graduate and a chartered chemical engineer with nearly two decades of experience in leveraging science, technology, and engineering to advance industrial processes, championing circular economy and ESG initiatives to make them more environmentally sustainable and efficient.

He is the founder of the Research Institute for Sustainable Excellence and Leadership (RISEL), a think tank dedicated to driving sustainable development and visionary leadership in Malaysia.

An award-winning author of the book “A Chemical Engineer in the Palm Oil Milling Industry”, he explores the opportunities chemical engineers have in the palm oil milling industry. As a public speaker, he passionately shares how chemical engineers can contribute to a sustainable future.
