Rafil is the founder; owner and principal consultant of East One-Zero-One Sdn Bhd (East101), a specialist consulting company focused providing advanced process engineering and flow assurance solutions to the oil and gas industry.

Rafil’s career spans over 25 years, starting at the Malaysian national oil company PETRONAS, followed by technical and managerial positions at Simulation Sciences (now Invensys) and Hyprotech (now acquired by AspenTech), and currently at East101. His areas of specialisation are compressor surge analysis, facility wide control strategy synthesis/optimisation, pressure protection systems/HIPPS design and flow assurance (integrated transient pipeline and facilities models).
