How to apply

1. Select your course(s) for approval
2. Contact us for a quotation
3. Download, complete and send application form(s) for each course to be approved
4. Email application(s) to scapproval@icheme.org

Additional courses must be submitted within three months of first application.

Fees

The approval application fee is payable at the start of the process. This fee is non-refundable, even if the course is not approved. Approval lasts for three years.

What you will pay per course:

• 1 course per year: £1,650 + VAT per course (equivalent to £550 per year)
• 2–3 courses per year: £1,375 + VAT per course (equivalent to £458 per year)
• 4+ courses per year: £1,100 + VAT per course (equivalent to £366 per year)

What happens next?

The training approval process can take as little as eight weeks if the course content meets the required standard after a single peer review and appropriately knowledgeable peer reviewers are immediately available. A typical peer review is completed three to six months after payment has been received and all course materials are submitted. Peer review feedback is given in writing. 

If the content requires further modification or the topic area is particularly specialist, the process can take a little longer.

A time limit of 12 months, from receipt of the application, is enforced to re-submit or revise applications following feedback. We will provide up to three rounds of feedback during this time.
