IChemE Conferring Ceremony

Celebrating the achievements and excellence of our members

IChemE is proud to introduce a new series of conferring ceremonies designed to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our members. These special events will formally recognise those who have recently achieved Chartered Member (MIChemE) or Fellow (FIChemE) status – a milestone that reflects professionalism, dedication, and excellence in chemical engineering.

The ceremonies will also honour the exceptional contributions of IChemE volunteers and the recipients of IChemE Medals and Prizes, whose efforts exemplify IChemE’s values of being trusted, agile, collaborative, innovative, and impactful.

What to expect on the day

Each ceremony will be an uplifting and inspiring occasion, designed to make every attendee feel proud to be part of the IChemE community. The programme will include:

• welcome refreshments and networking on arrival
• opening remarks from a senior IChemE representative
• volunteer recognition and celebration of IChemE Medal and Prize recipients
• the official conferral of new Chartered Members and Fellows by IChemE leadership
• a networking lunch with fellow members, guests, and IChemE leaders
• professional photography to capture the day and create lasting memories.

These inaugural ceremonies will take place in the United Kingdom, and while designed around our UK membership base, international members are warmly invited to attend and celebrate their achievements in person.
