Sean O’Sullivan

Sean is an inspector of offshore oil and gas installations with the UK Health and Safety Executive and has previously been a Technical Safety Technical Authority at an oil and gas operator, a safety consultant, and a fire scientist. He has been a Professional Process Safety Engineer since 2015 and Chartered Chemical Engineer since 2013.

He is interested in the practical management of process safety risks, such as when something is broken, educating, and engaging non-process safety professionals and looking at the holistic improvement of all areas of process safety.

Sean is Chair of the IChemE Safety and Loss Prevention Special Interest Group.
