Geraint is a Chemical Engineer specialising in renewable energy, in particular, biomass, bioenergy, biofuels and CCS.

He has wide industry experience, gained through over 30 years in the energy and heavy chemicals industries, across coal, oil and bio. This experience has been gained through his roles in consultancy, operations, industrial and academic research, and process engineering at the ETI, the NNFCC, ConocoPhillips, BP, GSA, Baker-Petrolite, British Coal and Aston University.

Geraint now works for his own consultancy business - in 2020, his main focus has been the decarbonisation of the Humber industrial cluster, taking a whole systems approach.
