Overview

Functional safety refers to the life cycle that can be applied to safety instrumented systems. This life cycle begins at the initial safety assessment of any process and ends with instrument decommissioning. Process engineers will gain an understanding of how they can consider functional safety when they attend safety assessments and when, for example, they partake in specification of safety instrumented systems.

He is an experienced process safety engineer, registered as an IChemE professional process safety engineer and TÜV Functional Safety Engineer.
