Overview
Process safety (in general) education is a vast interdisciplinary subject that requires integration of numerous concepts and adequate and balanced academic attention. Education at university level is crucial because it provides the core information required for process safety and those related workers especially engineers.
Besides process safety, safety and health of the workers in particular (OSH) as well as workplace design and operation to lessen, if not get rid of, the workplace hazards (industrial hygiene) are also important courses to be introduced to university students especially from the engineering background.
This program aims to share the approaches used for teaching Process Safety, OSH and Industrial Hygiene courses for chemical engineering students. Aside from that, background of the issues as well as data from the studies conducted in relation to this program topic will also be presented to the audiences.
