The Fluid Mixing Processes SIG held their annual Student Event on 10 January at the University of Birmingham, with five talks from speakers from UCL, the University of Birmingham and Soli Chem. The talks covered a broad range of mixing topics and measurement techniques. The meeting had 12 attendees including the speakers.

David Taylor and Ben Talbot of Syngenta kindly acted as judges, and awarded the prize for best talk to Georgina Wadsley, an EngD student at the University of Birmingham, sponsored by the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Formulation Engineering and Unilever Port Sunlight.

Georgina receives a prize of £1,000 from Syngenta to attend the North American Mixing Forum combined Mixing XXVIII & ISMIP 11 Conference, to be held June 24 – 27, 2024 in BANFF, Canada.
