This enables the automation of decision-making processes for engineering operations based on process data, legacy principles and heuristics that rely on the use of predictive models. This further enhances capabilities for managing safety critical element to prevent major hazards as well as optimizing the process and products for improved profitability.

Digitisation enables the visualisation of likely consequences of a decision which is valuable for training and response simulations.
