Process Safety, including major hazards management

Process safety statement

IChemE recognises that our members play key roles in securing a safe industry. With careful design, maintaining integrity of plant and equipment, and safe management of operations, the industry can achieve process safety excellence.

We aspire to have nobody, nor anything, impacted by process safety incidents.

IChemE will do this through our members and through our actions; by being a conduit of knowledge, and by education, influencing and advocacy.

Within our organisation we have groups dedicated to process safety, and in doing so we mobilise our membership to continuously improve process safety.

Process safety is the systematic framework for managing the integrity of hazardous processes
